A Gardening Contract for the common areas at Leet Haugh is agreed annually. A copy of the current contract is in Documents. The contract negotiation will take place at the end of each calendar year with FBR Seed Ltd and a committee member(s) of the LHRA. Payment under the contract is made in 12 equal monthly amounts.
Below is an example of the scope of a contract but the final details of the agreed work will change year on year.
1. 30 Grass cuts during the growing season.
2. Grass to be cut and edged.
3. Maintaining all communal flower beds – weeding by hand and maintenance as required, removing all weeds etc from site, as marked up in green on the plan.
4. Maintenance and pruning of the shrub and tree belts – removing all rubbish associated with the upkeep. Strimming of tree belts twice per year.
5. Weed killing of paths and all parking areas. Liaise with owners in advance to move vehicles if required.
6. Supply 3 bags of bark.
7. 4 visits during the winter season to tidy all areas.
8. The gardener will provide all their own tools, equipment and fuel at no extra charge.
9. The gardener will provide a valid copy of insurance.
Additional Work, if required
Should any additional gardening works over and above those already identified in the contract should be agreed in writing and approved by FBR Seed Ltd.
Reporting Defects
Should the gardener notice any defects whilst carrying out their duties, such as dying plants, trees, a requirement for grass seed, blocked drains and so forth, that these be reported to FBR Seed Ltd.
Notice Period
If in the event either party wish to terminate an agreement, then 3 months written notice must be given by 1st December of each year via FBR Seed Ltd
